While this look is more desirable to many, it can be incredibly time consuming, depending upon your surface area. If you choose to go this route, ensure that you are painting in the same direction throughout the room. If you waver from this pattern, it will show in the finished work.
- Proper equipment. Ensure that you have all of the necessary equipment before your job begins. This list should include all painting supplies, the actual paint itself and any accessories, including, but not limited to, step ladders, eye protection, work clothes, etc.
- Ventilation. When painting, especially in smaller rooms, you must ensure that there is proper ventilation. Pregnant women should NOT paint, especially later in the pregnancy. Paint fumes can be hazardous to your health, plan accordingly.
- Lighting. Proper lighting will help ensure that your project comes out looking the way you want it to. This is especially important if you are painting with lighter colors.
