The Avon Chamber of Commerce is committed to facilitating the growth and success of local businesses, as well as the entire region. The Avon Chamber of Commerce has worked with local and state governments on issues impacting members; delivered educational forums, hosted networking events, and co-sponsored a comprehensive economic survey. Mr. Handyman has participated in many of these networking events and has found these events beneficial to the growth of the business here in the Farmington Valley.

The Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, a private, non profit business organization strives to foster a stronger economy by providing both its members and the community with relevant services and information. The Glastonbury Chamber promotes the business community to better the economic climate and enhance the quality of life in Glastonbury. The Glastonbury Chamber hosts the annual Apple Harvest Festival. This festival features live music, local businesses, extensive craft booths, fabulous food, a pie eating contest, a pie bake-off, amusement rides, pony rides and family entertainment. Plan on attending this local festival that was voted Best of Hartford by the readers of Hatford Magazine in 2008 and 2009.

Mr. Handyman is an active member of the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce.  The Simsbury Chamber, the seventh largest chamber in the greater Hartford region, strives to support local businesses in town.  Each year, the Simsbury Chamber sponsors a Home Improvement Show.  It is a great way to talk with local and reputable home improvement contractors.

Gutter Stuff® started in 1994 when the sole inventor Robert Jones, who had been in the building and remodeling business for 25 years, came up with the concept of stuffing the gutter with some kind of filter rather than covering it. After trying different types of material like plastic mesh, steel mesh, and different types of foam, he came up with the material that is currently being used and has been tested for the last three years.
