Mr. Handyman, Serving Greater Jacksonville, Earns Coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award
Award reflects businesses’ consistently high level of customer service
Mr. Handyman, Serving Greater Jacksonville, has been awarded the prestigious 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service and health providers.
Mike McCalley, Greater Jacksonville’s Mr. Handyman owner, said this award is validation of his and his staff’s focus on Quality, Service and Convenience. “Our focus on Quality, Service and Convenience drives every decision we make at Mr. Handyman. From whom we hire to how we schedule appointments. Our level of licensing and the insurance we carry for customer protection. This focus drove our decision to have an off hour answering service so callers never went to a voice mailbox. This focus drove our decision to support a full range of home services and our follow up call after every job. Every decision we’ve made on how to run this business is based on offering the highest Quality, Service and Convenience to our customers – and this award is validation that we’re focused on the right things.”
“Only a fraction of the businesses rated on Angie’s List can claim the sterling service record of being a Super Service Award winner because we set a high bar,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “The fact that Mr. Handyman, Serving Greater Jacksonville, can claim Super Service Award status speaks volumes about its dedication to consumers.”
Angie’s List Super Service Award winners have met strict eligibility requirements including earning a minimum number of reports, an exemplary rating from their clients and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

As part of Mr. Handyman’s National Day of Service, Mr. Handyman partnered with United Water Works to install irrigation at the new facility for Waste Not Want Not, a perishable food rescue organization. Waste Not Want Not, on average, “rescues” 2,000 lbs. of food daily, 362 days a year. This food is distributed to agencies fighting poverty, homelessness, illiteracy, and ill health. They distribute rescued food to 90 charities serving 6 counties in Northeast Florida. This was a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community through an organization that does so much for so many people.
