Mr. Handyman announces Charitable Giving Program - August 04, 2009

Mr. Handyman of Southwest Idaho recently announced a partnership with three local charities. In an effort to support several great organizations in our local area, Mr. Handyman is now donating $1 for every customer satisfaction survey that our customers send in to one of three charities: Boys & Girls Clubs, Idaho Humane Society, & Make-A-Wish Foundation.

We at Mr. Handyman are excited about this new program because it addresses two things that are very important to us: 1) Collecting the customer input we need to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to our customer and 2) Helping several local organizations in our community that are making a very positive impact.

Mr. Handyman President's Circle Award - August 04, 2009

Your local Mr. Handyman was recently inducted into the Mr. Handyman President's Circle at the Mr. Handyman National Convention. The President's Circle is limited to only the most successful Mr. Handyman businesses in the nation with only around 40 of the over 270 Mr. Handyman businesses qualified in 2007. We were especially honored to receive this award because 2007 was our first full year in business. Thank you for your continued support as our business grows in the Treasure Valley!

Make-A-Wish Foundation Project - August 04, 2009

In November, Mr. Handyman was contacted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation to see if we would be interested in helping with a project to benefit a terminally ill child. After learning about the situation and project request, it seemed like it would be a great fit for Mr. Handyman.

Tony Florez is 4 years old and lives in Caldwell. He has been diagnosed with lissencephaly (smooth brain) and lymphoma and was originally not expected to live past his second birthday. Part of Tony and his family’s wish involved enabling Tony to spend more time outdoors. He currently spends most of his time indoors because the chair that he needs to be in would not fit through the back doorway.

On the week of November 26th, several Mr. Handyman employees participated in the project to make Tony’s wish come true. John and Paul installed a new French door, and Rollie built a ramp for Tony’s chair that now gives him access to the covered patio in his backyard. Home Depot donated the materials and Mr. Handyman donated all of the labor for the project.
