The old deck support was rotting and was also about six inches lower than the back porch. Our Mr. Handyman techs demolished the old deck and helped the client design the new deck. To save some money and lumber (thinking "green" both monetarily and ecologically) we re-used as much of the old lumber as possible in the support of the new deck top.
The new deck was built at the same level as the porch to give the client a more functional area. Large steps give access to the back yard. The client plans to add an outdoor kitchen soon to complete the deck and Mr. Handyman will help them with that.
