I called at least 10 companies, and most will not work with these old gas heaters, because they don&#039;t make them anymore and they don&#039;t seem to know what to do. Ed was professional, cordial, and very kind to my elderly mother (whose house it is), who tends to hover and ask lots of questions. As they disclosed up front on the phone, this company charges by the half hour, with a minimum 2 hours for the service call, so be sure you have at least 2 hours of work. We didn&#039;t, so paid for a full 2 hours even though it only took about an hour and a half all told. Still, we got a $25 discount for being Angie&#039;s List members, so that helped and the final price was less than the original quote as a result.
