Mr. Handyman of Salt Lake City Joins National Day of Service

Nine Hours of Repairs Services donated to Salt Lake, Utah YWCA

To celebrate the Mr. Handyman 2010 National Day of Service and to give back to the community, Mr. Handyman of Salt Lake City will be performing repair and maintenance jobs for a worthy cause - all without collecting a single penny in labor costs.

As part of President Obama's request to renew America through volunteerism, Mr. Handyman, a full-service home repair and maintenance franchise and the No. 1 employer of handymen nationwide, will donate nine hours of free handyman service to the YWCA , a group that provides safe housing and support women and children in need. YWCA is located at 322 East 300 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.

During the National Day of Service, Mr. Handyman will send three skilled technicians to conduct a day's worth of odd jobs on the group's facilities.

"We are thrilled to be working as part of Mr. Handyman's National Day of Service campaign," said Victoria Davison, local owner of Mr. Handyman. "We are always looking for ways to give back to our community and we are excited to be a part of a national operation to help organizations in need."

Nationwide, more than 500 hours of free work are being donated on this day from Mr. Handyman businesses. Skilled technicians are giving their time to homeless shelters, hospitals, senior care centers, schools and churches, as well as non-profits and other community service organizations.
