Tackling Your Spring 'To Do List'

Q: Spring has arrived. How do you suggest we organize our spring ‘to do’ list?

A: Great question, many start without getting organized. First, thoroughly inspect both the interior and the exterior of the home. Capture anything you notice. Then prioritize each item on the list. Base priorities on things that are aesthetic (low priority) up through things where damage will continue to grow if left un-addressed (high priority). Last, identify which items on the list can be done by members of the home, and which will need outside help. If you don’t have the skills, tools or inclination for certain tasks, hire an expert.

Items where damage will continue to accrue need the most immediate attention and then group other related items. Do outdoor projects in the Spring and move indoors when the weather gets hot. Service providers can work in parallel to things you take on.
