Mr. Handyman Raises the Bar …. Again.

For most of you looking for maintenance, repair or upgrade services for your home or business, finding a reliable and trusted partner you can work with is a difficult task. Many service providers are hard to reach, work an unpredictable schedule, deliver questionable quality and don’t return calls if there is an issue. In short, they provide a terrible customer experience.

This was our opening to start Mr. Handyman in Jacksonville. Plenty of companies, and individual operators, claim to do the work that we do. Our plan was to differentiate ourselves by providing a great customer experience. We’re easy to reach, offer scheduled appointment times, we communicate clearly, do quality work, and stand behind it with a guarantee. If there is an issue with our work, we simply return and resolve it.

Twelve years ago (June 2nd 2008) we served our first client as Mr. Handyman. Our service model was immediately embraced. Consumers could call and schedule, and then we arrived and got it done. It was, and continues to be, that simple. Our staff are employees, not sub-contractors, so we have full control of their schedule and they don’t have other jobs competing for their time. They are held accountable for both the quality of their work and providing a great customer experience.

The feedback our staff gets is tremendous. Over the last twelve years our staff have been recognized with nine Angie’s List Super Service Awards; given to the top 5% of their service providers. We’ve been named the “Bold City Best” on four different occasions by the Florida Times Union and Jacksonville.com. We have been named the ‘Best of Jax’ by readers of Folio Weekly the last two years; and we have one honorable mention from the BBB for ethics. Along the way we’ve racked up thousands of positive online reviews.

Twelve years ago we raised the bar on what consumers, residential and commercial clients alike, should expect from a service provider in Greater Jacksonville. With the recent complications of being a service provider in the age of the Corona Virus, we again raise the bar. Mr. Handyman craftsmen are following CDC guidelines related to not working if they are sick, handwashing, wiping down surfaces we touch and contact free service.

So, after understanding your needs and agreeing to a plan of action for the day, our craftsmen will prepare an invoice for your approval. We have the technology to send that invoice from their tablet to your smart phone, where you can sign it and send it back. There will be no need for you to handle our tablet during our visit. How many others are making these investments to keep their clients safe?

This may be the new normal for quite some time, and we’re taking steps to keep our clients and staff safe in these uncertain times. If you are ready for a great customer experience, call Mr. Handyman.
