    Wayne & Kim Owczarzak


    Wayne and Kim Owczarzak, owners of Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale, opened in the spring of 2009. Prior to opening their handyman business, Wayne's spent 20+ years in Management for a Battery Distribution Center and Printing business and Kim spent 20+ years in Human Resources for a Financial Institution and Insurance business. When asked why they purchase a handyman franchise, “We have rehabbed a number of homes and had a difficult time finding a trustworthy handyman service who can provide maintenance and repair on both residential and commercial establishments. We thought by owning a franchise we could provide Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Schaumburg and communities surrounding with a valued customer experience.” They are involved in the local community in giving back through the Northern Illinois Food Bank and Wheaton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, annually we participate in the National Day of Service and have partnered with the Midwest Shelter for the Homeless Veterans. Wayne and Kim have been married for 30 years and when not working enjoy spending time with their families, golfing and traveling.

    Jill is the Operations Manager leading the office team since 1993. She ensures all Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale’s customers are provided a consistent high level exceptional customer experience. Jill has over 20+ years in Customer Service and Financial Analysis working at the largest global fast food chain. She has received Employee of the Month for her outstanding commitment and dedication. Jill is married for over 20+ years, has two children and a dog. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking and gardening.

    Katie has years of experience in the customer service industry, particularly in retail. She joined our team in 2020 and prior worked for a local university in providing student and online chat support. She enjoys working with our customers, listening to their home repair needs and scheduling their appointments. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are perfect for communications with our residential clients. Katie enjoys spending time with her family and lives in Glendale Heights.

    Linda is an experienced Commercial Business Development Representative with over 20+ years providing clients with a high-quality customer experience. She goes above and beyond to ensure all our clients’ questions are answered, and appointments scheduled efficiently. Linda’s focus is managing the commercial portfolio of customers. She joined out team in 2020 and prior to joining our team, she worked for a landscape company as a Business Development lead, generating new prospects, online sales support and managing the office administration. Linda enjoys spending time with her family and lives in Glendale Heights.

    Lindsey has diverse experience in customer service across multiple industries. She joined our team in 2018 and prior had worked as an administrator in the healthcare field. During this time she was able to secure her clinical pathology certificate. She has a can do attitude and great problem solving skills which comes in handy in getting estimates together for customers and managing the technicians schedule. Lindsey is married and has two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and in her spare time enjoys yoga and traveling.

    Dan has over 25+ years of experience as a handyman with specialties in carpentry, residential renovation, bathroom remodels and general residential maintenance/repair. He is highly organized, detail oriented and has the ability to identify a resolution for all residential and commercial handyman challenges. Dan joined the team in 2018, prior to that he was a foreman managing a construction crew, ensuring customer satisfaction and project budgets were on target. Dan also is a Firefighter/EMT professional and served two consecutive terms as Corporate President.

    Gus has over 20+ years of professional handyman experience focused in areas of remodeling, painting, carpentry and overall general handyman experience. He joined our technician team in 2020. Gus listens to the customer and is great at analyzing the situation and quickly identifying a solution for the problem while keeping safety in mind. Gus is experienced in all aspects of home maintenance and repair including painting, electrical, plumbing, and drywall work. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, playing his guitar and lives in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Scott is married with two kids and three dogs. His hobbies are fishing, camping, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Steven enjoys spending time with his family. Steve won the Mr. Handyman ACE Award for Exceptional Customer Service in 2020.

He joined the team in 2019 and prior to that he was a carpenter managing maintenance on multiple rental properties. Tom has great attention to detail and ensures the customer is completely satisfied with the project. He is the “go to guy” for a problem others may not know how to solve. He enjoys spending time with family and doing DIY projects around his home.
