National Day of Service

Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale gives back to the community as the National Day of Service.

Promoting Compassion

Every year, Mr. Handyman of Wheaton-Hinsdale teams up with local charities to observe the National Day of Service and Remembrance – a holiday created after the September 11 attacks to honor those who lost their lives and encourage the unity and compassion demonstrated in its wake. Over the years, our team has provided one day of handyman services to many different community non-for profit organizations.

MIDWEST SHELTER FOR HOMELESS VETERANS ASSOCIATION

Our 2019 Day of Service was at the Midwest Homeless Veterans Association. A small team volunteered their time in doing a number of small jobs in and around the homes. A few of the items they were able to accomplish were to repair/build 11 screens, caulked shower, fixed handle on faucet, added two basement lights, secured the thermostat cover, and repaired the pull chain light in the basement.
