At my rental property, the bathroom vent seemed to be malfunctioning. The fan was running, but no air was being blown out. Initially, I thought the fan, housing, and ductwork would need to be replaced, so I reached out to several HVAC companies around Blaine, MN. Unfortunately, either they didn't respond or their prices were excessively high. I also contacted Mr. Handyman for a quote. They were quick to respond and even came the same day. They provided several quotes based on different suggestions. One of their recommendations was to clean the housing and ductwork since the fan was still running. If that didn't solve the issue, they suggested replacing the fan, housing, and ductwork. In every case, they also recommended trimming the door at the bottom to allow better airflow, as the door was very tight against the floor. These same suggestions were not made by other companies I had contacted for quotes. They wanted to replace the fan, housing, and ducts. Today, Steve from Mr. Handyman came to clean the fan, housing, and ducts, then tested the airflow. It’s working perfectly now – great job! To top it off, the final charge was half of the initial quote, since the work was completed quickly. When I told my wife about the experience, she said, “Keep their number; they’re honest people.” And I definitely will! I’ll keep their number and spread the word. Nice work, Steve.
