When I called Mr. Handyman, they promptly returned my call and walked me thru the process and pricing. Initially the pricing can be off putting, since the first hour is about $150, but then each hour thereafter is about $50. The handyman work, excluding the painting, cost about $1,000. I got estimates for most of the odd jobs I listed and each of those estimates came in at $300-$400 per job, so by my calculations, on the low end, it would have cost about $2,500 to do the same work thru other companies. The handyman they sent, Greg, was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable about all of the repairs I needed, worked fast and NEAT! I LOVE neat. It was all drama free. I didn't have to wait around for a no-show contractor or a local yokel handyman who takes two hours to change a drill bit. Greg came on time, worked hard and barely took a break. I was really impressed with the quality of workmanship and professionalism. Anne was my handywoman for the painting. The pricing for painting was handled a little differently as they charged $650 for a day rate. For $650 she painted my master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and 2 closets. She was fast and did a lovely job. She also gave me some tips on color choices for other areas of my house. All in all, it was a great experience, and I would certainly use them again in the future.
