Mr. Handyman has done a lot of work at my house. They've repaired a section of fence when the wind tore through my development and checked my roof for damages from the same wind. They've installed light fixtures and several small jobs. I'm writing about my closet. In short, the coated-wire closet shelves collapsed from the weight of my clothes. I came home from work to find that everything that was on the walls of my walk-in was now a jumble of shoes, clothes, wire shelves, and screws on the floor. A few months later, I finally called Mr. Handyman to be sure that they had someone that could install the closet system that I bought. We scheduled a date and the gentleman came by to get started the next day. I received a call when he arrived to get a better understanding of my instructions and badly drawn diagram of where each piece would go. The Mr. Handyman guy did a great job, consulted with me often while he worked and did a great job. Their cost per hour is a bit steep, but it's worth the cost for jobs that are better estimated so you can budget. This job took two days but almost two years later…it's still up and I have even more clothes now than then.

This is the second major project that Mr. Handyman has done for me. I wanted a replacement vent made of a material stronger than the original. Mr. Handyman special ordered the vent and installed it on the first work day after it arrived from the distributor. I was not home when the work was done. I see this as a plus because I didn't have to lose a day of work. The appearance of the replacement vent looks professionally installed and not a "homeowner DIY" project. This is important to me because some day I will sell this house and don't want anything to detract from the structure and possible lower the sales price. The final price was slightly less than the estimate. The final price may seem high to some, but remember I didn't use a standard vent, but had a higher quality vent installed. I am pleased with the work and the price.

It went very well. George came by and looked at what we wanted him to do. The next week I got an estimate, and then, after okaying it, the work was underway. George was a very nice, professional man, who knew what he was doing. Before long, in just a few days, all work was completed, much to our satisfaction. Kate, who works in the office was very, very pleasant and was always there for communication. The boss, Al, was also available to answer any followup questions. These are people who represent MR. HANDYMAN extremely well. Too bad all businesses are not like this one. They are A plus, in my book.
