Meet The Friendly Team at Mr. Handyman of Rock Hill and Fort Mill

Our names are Tim and Ingrid Steffens and we have been the owners of Mr Handyman of South Charlotte since, July 2018! Our story is a huge part of how we began our handyman business. We have three amazing children & were both born and raised in New York. As our children grew older, we knew now was the time to make a move if we were ever going to do so. We felt led to move to Charlotte for the later part of our lives, so we sold our house May of 2013 and started all over. Tim left his position as the facility manager at our church and Ingrid left her school nursing position at an elementary school on Long Island. We knew we were making a huge, life-changing decision that surprised many of our friends and family, but we were confident that this was where the Lord was leading us. Before joining the Mr. Handyman team, Ingrid worked in the health field as a clinical manager while Tim began to build the foundation of this business. We have enjoyed every step of building this and are so thankful for the loving support of our friends, family and other franchise owners who work along our side. Barbara has a true love with being involved with theatre as a production manager, including lighting and scenic design and directing most of her career! This has allowed Barbra to have quite the experience with handyman skills as well! She was also a paraprofessional in the elementary schools of Illinois. Barbara recently moved to the Charlotte area of NC and has been a rock star as our Customer Services Manager at Mr Handyman of South Charlotte, Fort Mill, Rock Hill. We are thrilled to have her on our team!

Patrick is dedicated to delivering exceptional client support and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. With a strong background in communication and problem-solving, he excels in understanding clients' needs and providing tailored solutions. Committed to building lasting relationships, Patrick strives to foster trust and satisfaction through attentive service and effective communication. We are thrilled to have Patrick on our team!

Michael is proficient in carpentry, electrical and plumbing. He has experience working with residential and commercial renovations. He is known for his honesty, integrity, and has a genuine passion for achieving his goals independently and as a team. We are thankful to have such a knowledgeable hard working service professional on our team!

Charles has always been the go-to man to get things done when people are in need! Charles has recently been the maintenance technician for a KOA/Campground handling all the electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural repairs. This man is an authentic, down to earth, highly skilled, great guy!  We are so thankful to have Charles on our Mr Handyman team!

Tyrone has 25 years plus experience with construction. He is highly skilled with carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, Framing drywall, overall repairs and renovations. We are very blessed to have Tyrone on our Mt Handyman team!!

Eric is a seasoned construction and operations professional with over 10 years of experience, including owning and operating a successful roofing company. He specializes in leak diagnostics and repair, residential remodels, and full roof replacements. As an independent builder, Eric has led projects from foundation to completion, bringing a high level of skill and dedication to every job. Alongside his professional work, Eric has served in the mission field with his wife and six children. He is truly a blessing to our Mr. Handyman team!

Joe Goodnight is a dedicated and highly skilled professional committed to delivering quality service and dependable results. A U.S. Marine veteran with 20 years of experience in aviation maintenance, Joe brings a tireless work ethic, sharp critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills to every project. He takes pride in helping customers find practical solutions to their home improvement needs. A man of faith with high moral character, Joe is a trusted and valued member of the Mr. Handyman team.

Jessica Milner, CSR, holds a Bachelor of Music from Columbus State University and brings over 12 years of experience as a general education teacher working with special education students ages 3–12. She also studied at Berklee College of Music and has developed and led piano, voice, and music programs specifically tailored for students with autism. Jessica’s passion for the arts extends to directing plays and teaching a wide range of courses, including introductory, intermediate, advanced, and mastery-level chorus, as well as acting and theater. Raised in a family deeply rooted in ministry—her father serving as a pastor for over 30 years and her mother faithfully supporting alongside him—Jessica brings compassion, dedication, and heart to everything she does. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team!
