I called Mr. Handyman on Wednesday, February 6 and set up an appointment for the following day. On Thursday, February 7,they called to let us know that they were running behind and gave us the option to reschedule. We did so, for Saturday, February 9 knowing full well that the weather could cancel that appointment. On Friday, February 8, they called informing me that a service man was in the area and could perform the work on this day. We accepted, they called when they were a half an hour prior to arrival. Gary, from Mr. Handyman, arrived at 11:30, looked over the job and told me it would be a two hour job. He carefully went over the time and price with me. The work was completed on schedule. Gary was professional, brought his own drop cloths, and due to the snow put on footies over his shoes so as not to track snow in the house. We found this very considerate. Upon completion he cleaned the work area. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the response time and especially the work as it was completed as we had been told. Gary was neat, quick and completely professional. We are definitely going to consider Mr. Handyman for any future jobs.

They did outstanding work on a most difficult job of installing a large patio cover. Despite some issues caused by the manufacturer's errors, they found ways to get the job done to our great satisfaction. The men were friendly and efficient, and the cost was reasonable. We are very happy with this company and will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

James was great. He took down an existing fan and installed the new fan. He made sure we knew how everything worked and took great care in putting on the magnets to ensure the fan did not sway.

After finding Mr. Handyman, I’ve completed 4 projects with them. I started with a pretty major repair to some damaged outside wood that had to be repaired before the Winter. That went very well, so I created a long list of items I hadn't been able to get to. They came back and professionally and expeditiously knocked off several challenges – refinishing some damaged stairs, bathroom drywall repair, replacement of two complex windows, etc. My most recent job with them was a very big one. Half of my basement was damaged by water in Hurricane Sandy and I had been waiting to repair it because I wanted to gut the whole thing and rebuild it from the walls in. The job involved removing a bunch of paneling down to the cinder blocks, removing a hanging ceiling, adjusting a laundry area to a smaller footprint, moving ducts and pipes to accommodate the new design, putting in sheet rock walls and ceiling, installing new lights and breakers, redoing the floor, and a myriad of other details plus painting. It was a big job I had quoted with contractors before, but hadn’t gotten around doing. I’m happy to say the job was very smooth, of high quality, and exceeded my expectations.
