Local Door Repair and Installation Services in Pegram, Tennessee

My Handyman gave us a clear pricing structure, with a two hour minimum charge. This means I will need to have a good list of things to address, since our needs are mostly for small home maintenance issues I used to be able to do myself. Don arrived early in the two hour window, and was ready to go. He was entirely familiar with one of my tasks, that another company couldn’t even develop a pricing model for. All three of the tasks involved ladder work, which he accomplished quickly and efficiently. I will definitely be calling Mr. Handyman again as needed. Update – I called again to have the weatherstripping around the back door (French doors) replaced. They scheduled a convenient time and two fellows showed up (the older gentleman with much experience was being apprenticed into the ins and outs of the Mr. Handyman way of doing business. They acquired the necessary weatherstripping and made quick work of that. Replacing the bottom swipes was much more problematic. After multiple attempts to install the part they had purchased which seemed the same as the old sweep, it would not let the door close – it was thicker than the older sweep. Josh said they would look for the correct item and send me a link to order the exact piece needed, they the office would call to reschedule to have it installed once ordered. Quite a few days passed with no text of a link and two calls to the office seemed not to yield any further contact. Eventually Josh called me and apologized that he had been unable to locate the correct part. In the meantime I had gone to Home Depot and found what I thought was the right piece. I called the office and arranged for Josh to return to install it. When he arrived, we saw that the piece I had purchased was exactly the same as the one he had originally bought, and which did not fit. He explained that there had evidently been a change in door standards in 2017 (my door was installed in 2004), and it seems impossible to find the right size piece for the older doors. We discussed alternatives and identified a different way to block the air flow under the door. While the process took much longer than I would have wished, it is clear Josh was going above and beyond to try to complete the job as we originally defined it. I will call them again when another project I can't handle arises.

Mr. Handyman of Nashville did an outstanding job! I had a long honey-do-list for my home, both inside and outside repairs Everything was addressed and fixed on my list. They cleaned everything up when complete. It all works and looks great. Both men were very professional, kind and respectful. I have them returning again soon for other items I added to my list. 5 stars for them.
