I had an emergency situation with support under my tub area. I need to have a handyman come out and fix the support issue under my tub before my new installation of a tub could finish. The handyman came out the next afternoon, and he fixed the Joist issue under the tub area. Now that this has been fixed, I can finish the tub installation. They were very reasonable on the cost for the work that needed to be done, and the fact they came out ASAP to fix the issue for me. I would definitely use them for other work as they just got in and did the work. He didn't waste any time doing the work. I just showed him the issue, and he just went to work and fixed it.

I had damage to my house caused by a woodpecker that needed repaired. This was my first time calling Mr. Handyman. The gal doing the scheduling provided great customer service. She scheduled my appointment within a few business days. Doug was on time and was quickly able to evaluate the damage and determine the best fix then he went to work and finished quickly. I'm very happy with the service I received.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Clay was absolutely 150% on the job. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated his professionalism, his hustling, and his desire to do a perfect job. I was impressed. The price was pretty steep, but I don't have anything to compare it with, so who knows how much the others would have charged. Also, he said that the copper pipes that he used to replace the old ones cost $200. We had a leak in the water heater pipes that caused moisture ants to find a home in our crawl space. I phoned around to find a handyman service and everybody was booked out. Mr Handyman did not get the best ratings on Angie's List and wasn't my first choice, but they were the ones who responded quickly, sent someone to assess the problem. He estimated that the repair would be between $400 and $850, told me how the problem would be fixed and I decided to hire them. They scheduled me for an appointment one and a half weeks into the future. But the leak had been there for a while and I did not need a super-quick response, so that worked for me. On the day of the service, Clay was there almost half hour before the scheduled time and didn't stop working until he left almost 8 hours later. He had to drain the water heater and cut the drywall. According to him, the pipes that went from the water heater into the wall and from there into the crawl space had been sagging and ended up sitting on concrete, which caused a leak over time. He cut the pipes on the side of the garage (where the water heater is) and in the crawl space. Then he installed new pipes between the wall and the water heater. He took out all the dry rot and put a piece of wood in for the pipes to go through (so they wouldn't sit on concrete). Then he resoldered the pipes together. Everything seemed to go well until he turned the water back on, which showed a leak. He was hustling to get the leak fixed and seemed to get it all to where it was dry. However, the next day I went into the crawl space and discovered a pretty steady leak. I called them again and they quickly sent Clay to take care of it immediately. He came within 30 minutes and went right to work. After checking a number of things and resoldering the pipes, he found that part of the pipe was defective. So he cut that out. But this didn't completely solve the problem. It took Clay almost 4 hours to make sure everything was fixed. The whole time, he was very gracious and professional. While fixing the problem, he saw that the main water line was sagging and he installed copper hooks to hook it back up. He also sprayed lots of wood preservative to help the moisture in the wood (from the new leak) dry out. He told me that the Mr. Handyman service guaranteed their work for 1 year and not to hesitate to call again if there was a problem. Later that day I realized that the water pressure in the kitchen seemed low. I checked the water shutoff and the faucet over the water heater, then discovered a leak at the water heater faucet. I called him and he came within about 30 minutes. He told me that that faucet must have come loose with all the work on the water heater and that he had not touched it that day. But he quickly fixed it and again was very gracious. Clay is a hard worker and very professional. I would hire him again.

I submitted my request on a Monday evening and had a Handyman on his way over the next day – truly the easiest and fastest experience I could have imagined. Mark was great – polite, neat, efficient, and great to work with (even though the fixtures we asked him to install were not easy to handle). The project took two separate visits to complete, but scheduling follow-ups was easy and quick.

Frequently Asked Questions About Carpentry Services in North Creek, WA

For 30 years, Mr. Handyman professionals have been helping homeowners and businesses repair, maintain, and enhance their spaces. We are a one-stop solution for everything on your to-do list. This includes answering your questions about home repairs, maintenance, and improvements. Here are answers to some of your most frequently asked questions about carpentry services in North Creek, Washington.

  • Whether you need dependable handyman work done, our carpentry services address both cosmetic upgrades and functional wood repairs. Work can range from detailed trim installation and molding upgrades to repairing cracked, rotted, or loose wood components that affect the look and integrity of a space. Before beginning any carpentry installation or repair, our service professionals assess existing materials, alignment, and structural conditions to ensure the finished result fits properly and blends with surrounding details. If you’re planning carpentry services in North Creek, your locally owned and operated Mr. Handyman is ready to walk through your space and help you choose the right solution.

  • Yes! Mr. Handyman can help with carpentry repair for damaged trim, baseboards, and crown molding to restore the look and function of your home’s finished wood details. These carpentry services are designed to correct visible damage, improve attachment, and restore molding and baseboards without unnecessary replacement. The right approach depends on what’s causing the damage and how much material is affected, so repairs may involve reinforcing what’s there, swapping out specific sections, or installing new pieces that blend with the surrounding profile and finish. For carpentry repair in North Creek, Mr. Handyman can evaluate damaged trim or molding and explain whether repair or replacement makes the most sense for your space.

  • Yes, carpentry repair and trim installation are both part of the comprehensive carpentry services we provide. Some homeowners need targeted carpentry repair for existing trim, while others are planning full trim installation to enhance interior finishes. The right approach depends on the condition of the existing materials and the goals of the project, so we evaluate layout, fit, and finish details before recommending repair or new installation to ensure a clean, consistent result. When your home in North Creek needs carpentry repair or new trim installation, we can assess the scope and recommend a solution that fits your goals.

  • Crown molding installation typically starts with a quick inspection of the room and preparation of the work area. A trained carpenter measures the walls and ceiling lines, reviews corners and angles, and determines the most effective layout for the molding. This preparation helps ensure trim pieces align properly and create a consistent, professional appearance once installed. The crown molding installation process includes careful measuring, cutting, and fitting of each molding piece as a next step. A skilled carpenter uses specialized tools to produce accurate angle cuts so the molding fits tightly at corners and joints. Each section is secured carefully to the wall and ceiling framing so the molding sits evenly and remains stable over time. During installation, the trained service professional may also complete minor carpentry repair if necessary. Uneven surfaces, small gaps, or existing trim issues may require adjustment before the molding is installed. These small corrections help ensure the finished result blends smoothly with the surrounding trim installation and interior details. After installation, the final steps typically include filling nail holes, smoothing joints, and checking alignment. These finishing touches help prepare the molding for painting or finishing. Professional carpentry services focus on careful installation so crown molding enhances the room’s overall appearance.

  • Trim installation is not one-size-fits-all, and the timeline reflects the unique conditions of each home. Smaller projects, such as installing baseboards in a single room, may require less time than full-home trim installation or detailed crown molding work that involves multiple corners and transitions. Factors such as ceiling height, surface condition, and prior carpentry work may affect the overall installation process. If you’re planning trim installation in North Creek, Mr. Handyman can evaluate your space and outline the scope before work begins.

  • When hiring a local carpenter, start by looking for experience with the specific type of project you need. Many carpentry professionals specialize in different areas, such as carpentry repair, trim installation, or crown molding installation. Choosing a carpenter with proven experience in the type of work you’re planning helps ensure the results look polished and last over time. Next, consider the range of carpentry services offered. A capable carpenter handyman should be able to perform both carpentry installation and repair tasks. From installing trim to fixing damaged wood features, a versatile professional can help complete multiple improvements efficiently. Professional communication is another important factor. A dependable carpenter should clearly explain the work involved, provide an estimate, and answer questions about materials or timelines. Quality carpentry services make sure homeowners understand every step of the process. Finally, choose a carpenter who values quality workmanship. Skilled carpenters focus on accurate measurements, tight joints, and careful finishing. An experienced local carpenter will make sure trim and molding installations look seamless and durable.
