    Jodi and John Hartle purchased Mr. Handyman in July, 2017, from the previous owner, who was a long time friend and previous colleague. Jodi and John met when they both worked for a major telecommunications company-Jodi in Ohio and John in Pennsylvania! Their long-distance relationship turned into a marriage and beautifully blended family, included their 2 children, Makenzie and Derek. Jodi brings to the table over 30 years’ experience in Leadership, Sales, Customer Service Marketing, and Operations. John’s background also includes Marketing, Operations, Management, Finance, and Contracts. In 2017, when the franchise went up for sale, Jodi and John knew it was time to take the leap and do what they had always dreamed of-owning their own business! It has been an exciting and life changing time in their life and they wouldn’t change a thing! John and Jodi believe in treating their employees as family and their appreciation for everyone on staff is immense. They look forward to letting their family serve yours!

    Project Manager

    Mark manages the schedule of our technician staff. Mark lives in Chippewa, has been married for 26 years, and has two sons. He is a native of Western Pennsylvania. Mark grew up in Boswell, a small coal mining town in Somerset County, and moved to Beaver County in 1993. Before joining Mr. Handyman, Mark worked as the Circulation Manager of the Beaver County Times for 24 years. Mark has a B.S. in Secondary Education (History) from Slippery Rock University. In his spare time, Mark loves to bike with his wife on mostly local trails that are relatively flat. Mark loves craft beers and local breweries. Mark is also a PIAA Baseball Umpire.

    Customer Service Manager

    Kim is a native of New Jersey, however she has lived in the northern Pittsburgh area for over 20 years. Kim is married with two sons. Following 26 years in the legal industry as a paralegal and legal secretary, Kim decided to take a leap and join Mr. Handyman! Kim spent many hours assisting her father, a retired bricklayer, with various projects around the home. Kim utilizes her background in client service, organization, and document preparation to help the office run smoothly and efficiently and provide an exceptional customer experience. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and attending her sons' high school and collegiate football and basketball games.

    Regina moved to Pittsburgh from northeast Pennsylvania about 13 years ago and is still learning about the wonderful things of Pittsburgh. Regina has worked in the customer service industry including at her family's car and motorcycle dealership when she was younger. Since then she has worked in the education industry and customer service most of her life and enjoys helping people complete their projects. When she's not on the clock, Regina likes to spend time with her family and friends playing games, traveling, and completing crafts with her kids.

    Mike was born and raised in northern Butler County. Mike graduated with high honors from the vocational technical school in the carpentry program and has been in the construction industry for 29 years. He started at age 16 while still going to school. Throughout the years, he has been blessed with the opportunity to learn many skill sets of the trade. Mike's favorite is finished carpentry. In Mike's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also enjoys all types of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and sporting events. If he had to choose one thing that it is his favorite while working for Mr. Handyman, it would be the customer interaction. "Meeting new people while enjoying the work I do with my family at Mr. Handyman!"

    Ben has a strong background in carpentry, including framing and drywall finishing. Ben also has experience in cabinet and back splash installation, as well as crown molding and trim work. Ben has no problem getting on a ladder (sometime a very tall one!) to clean out gutters and perform soffit and fascia repairs. Ben has worked with multiple types of flooring, including tile and hardwood. Ben learned many of his skills by working with his father at a very young age where he realized his passion for home renovation and repair.

    Dan is a native of Beaver County and has been doing this type of work his whole life. He enjoys this type of work because of his ability to do detailed work and he is good with many facets of construction. Dan's favorite trade is carpentry. Dan has a mason diploma from Community College of Beaver County and graduated high school from Western Beaver. In his spare time, Dan likes riding quads, working in his garage, spending time in the woods, target shooting, and playing pool.

    Jerry is married with 3 children. He grew up on a farm in Beaver County, PA. He began his "working life" at age 15 as a laborer for a new home construction company. For the past 30 years, Jerry has been learning and growing as a professional everyday. Jerry has knowledge in all fields of construction, though he excels in carpentry. In Jerry's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, is involved with the American Legion as a veteran, and is a volunteer firefighter.

    Jon is a native of Washington and has lived there his entire life. Jon has been doing this type of work all his life. He enjoys construction because it is fun and he likes all aspects of hands-on work. Jon has OSHA certifications on all Harley Davidson from early model to present. In his spare time, Jon enjoys spending time with this grandchildren, riding his Harley Davidson, and hunting. Jon also volunteers for an agency that helps veterans.

    Kenny was born and raised in Washington, Washington County. Kenny has been doing construction since he was 14 years old. His grandfather was a home builder, so Kenny grew up in the industry. Kenny just recently moved back to the area after leaving to seek employment in a similar industry of disaster restoration where he became certified in mold remediation and fire/water restoration. In his spare time, Kenny likes relaxing in his shop doing a variety of projects and spending time with his family.

    Kyle is a native of Los Angeles, California and moved to Pittsburgh a little over a year ago. Kyle has been in the industry for seven years as he wanted a career that is fulfilling. Kyle's favorite trades are carpentry, painting, and drywall. Kyle has an EPA 608 Tankless HLST certification from Navien. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his kids hiking, going to parks, and working out.

    Tim is a native of Pittsburgh. He is married with three children. Tim has been doing this type of work for 31 years. He is very good at all phases of construction, but his favorite trades are trim work, kitchen remodels, custom cabinets, and crown molding. In his spare time, Tim likes to go fishing and hunting.

    Travis was born and raised in Pittsburgh and feels this gives him his hard working, middle class personality. Fall down 9 times, get up 10. Travis was blessed to be born into a hands-on trade working family, and therefore, he has been doing this type of work his whole life. His favorite is electrical because of the problem-solving, and carpentry because he can make his and others' visions and dreams come to life. Travis is certified in residential and commercial electric, as well as mig and tig welding. Travis is a family man first and foremost and spends his spare time with his family. When not spending time with his family, Travis enjoys working around the house and anything outdoors - fishing, camping, etc. Travis loves all sports being an athlete himself, but enjoys watching hockey and football the most.

    Vern was born and raised in Ambridge and has been doing this type of work for 25 years. Vern enjoys working with his hands, seeing the finished product, and taking pride in the work he completes. Vern's favorite trade is drywall hanging/finishing and he learned it from his father, who was also in this trade. Vern thinks there is nothing better than seeing his customers' reaction and appreciation for his finished work product. Vern enjoys learning other trades. Vern has two sons and his life revolves around them. Vern enjoys fishing, shooting at the range, and playing cards, but above all he enjoys spending time with his sons as there is nothing more important to Vern than them.
