Local Carpentry Services in Mercer Island, Washington

At the bid estimate they informed me the wall damage repair cost would be separate from remodel project bid and would depend on what they found when they opened up wall. They found water and insect damage but the cost of complete new wall was less than estimated max cost ($2500) at $1200. They bid estimate $6000 for the remodel and it came to $6300 at completion (not including my estimate $1500 in time and materials I provided.)I was informed and consulted every step of the way and treated intelligently. Each situation and options were presented respectfully and I was reassured always at each decision point. This was the most remarkably wonderful experience and after spending 2 weeks with my Handymen, I felt they were family and would have them do any other job I need in the future. As a new widow of a great handyman husband, this was all new territory for me and these were the right folks to do the job! Perfection in every facet of their work and great respect for the home and its inhabitants. The original estimated time frame was a week but that did not include the days needed for the wall damage repair. The total money spent on bath remodel was $9000

Our front door had shifted and became difficult to open/close. We also had a chunk missing from our ceiling missing due to a poor roofing experience with a different company. Mike from Mr Handyman handled both tasks quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend them and would use them again.

The job Vic did was excellent overall and he did it in the time agreed upon. The whole process went smoothly from the time I phoned the company to completion of the job. They were a little pricey but well worth it when considering the outcome.

Emmett was the lead contractor and brought a different co-worker/assistant with him for each of the 1.5 days of demolition work. On the third day, a half day, Emmett brought along another lead, Ed, to assist with removing the 6-8' foot section of a beam that had considerable dry rot. They did a good job also in replacing the beam, capping off the plumbing (and removing some unnecessary junctions), replacing the insulation in the affected crawl space area, saving two vanity sinks & the toilet, and nicely cleaning up the site. We will be bringing Emmett and/or Ed back out for other projects in the near future.

We had a great experience with Mr. Handyman, especially with Melbin. From the scheduling to the actual work done over the 2 days, everything was top-notch. Thank you for doing a wonderful, professional job with our repairs and being attentive to details too!
