Steve arrived on time from Pennsylvania, even though the weather was very foggy that day. He analyzed the work to be done and I said the closest store for parts was Home Depot. I explained that Lowes installed the door in 2004. I took a picture and went to them first for repairs but they said they don't repair doors. However, they recommended Angie's List for a handy man and to use treated wood or PVC material for door framing. Steve returned with a door frame kit. He said the material was wood but seemed unsure if it was treated. He repaired the frame which took 4 and 1/4 hours and he allowed me to use a $25 coupon. The caulk had to dry before we could close the door. When dry, I tried to close and lock it with a key using my body weight to push hard but it would not close. I opened the main garage door and was able to pull hard and lock it from the inside. I called and he came back the next day. I was unsure if I was being charged $124 per hour for him to fix it correctly and I was honestly afraid to ask. He didn't say but either way I knew it had to be done. After two hours I told him I had to get back to work. I asked how long would he be? He told me he wanted to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. I told him to call me if he needed me and left him to finish. He already had my credit card info if needed and I asked my tenant to try the key in the lock when he was done. I came back on my lunchbreak a couple hours later. The frame was fixed, he cleaned up the area and he was gone. My tenant said the key worked great and there was no other charge.

This should be your “go to” for all home maintenance and repairs. Honest and transparent pricing, great work, reliable, and all around excellent service. Frank worked so hard for three days, doing the powder room over, light fixture replacement, patched a hole in the ceiling, repaired cabinet hinges and more. I will request him by name in the future. Turned out my new toilet had a crack in it (not their/my doing, came that way) and they gladly came back to swap it out with a new one I purchased. I wish I had used them for my gutter replacement too. A roofing company did that a couple weeks prior and up charged thousands more than quoted, once complete. These folks would never have done that. Office staff including Lynn, Pam and Rein(spelling?) always take great care of you too. Always quick to get back with you and always friendly. 100 percent recommend.

Butch was incredible. He removed a rake board that was over a steep pitched garage roof. He cut the angles of the replacement boards quickly and accurately. After installing, he touched up the nail heads, caulked the peak where the boards met, and did all of this by himself in under two hours! Now for the truly amazing part – the cost was half of the lowest contractor's bids. I would use him again and would recommend him to all my friends and family.
