From the time I called until the repair was completed I couldn't have been more impressed. It's been really difficult to find contractors who actually want to work lately. I've had people show up and do a job and leave it incomplete, I've had people who schedule appointments and never show up, others who cancel multiple times, it's just been difficult to find reliable people to work. I had someone replace a radon mitigation fan in my attic who left it incomplete do to the electrical wires being a mess and the pipe attached to the fan which exits the roof was extended about 8 inches higher off the roof than before and needed cut down to fit a new boot cover over it. I called a few places hoping to get both issues fixed quickly and was getting the usual runaround and dreaded the process to find someone reliable then remembered seeing a commercial and decided to give Mr Handyman a call to see if they could help. I called after hours that evening and had a return call at 8:30am the next morning, which in itself was impressive just to hear back so soon. When I explained what I needed done on the phone I was given a price range quote and they scheduled an appointment to do the repair just a couple days later. The day of the repair I got a text message when the technician was on his way which also included a photo to confirm who to be expecting and he showed up within the exact timeframe given when the appointment was made. Upon arrival I met with Donald, the technician and showed him what I had going on and he quickly had a solution in mind and explained everything he was going to do and how he was going to do it. Donald fixed the electrical wiring mess, installed a couple junction boxes to clean up all the loose wiring and had the fan up and running in no time. He went up on the roof, trimmed down the pipe and and installed the new boot cover and had it finished within minutes While I know these weren't the most difficult of repairs I was truly impressed with the attention to detail, the quality of work and the promptness of getting the appointment scheduled. Donald was awesome to work with and I appreciated his explaining everything clearly and he acted like he had a genuine desire to make sure things were done the right way and wasn't just rushing to get it done and be on to the next job. Its a relief to find someone who treats your home repair needs like they would at their own home and thats exactly how I felt Donald approached this job. Upon completion of the job I was charged within in the range I was given over the phone (it was actually at the lower end of the estimate) and Donald cleaned up the area and left nothing behind. I couldn't have been happier. I have several other projects and repairs I need completed soon and its a relief knowing I won't dread trying to find someone as my first call will now be to Mr Handyman! If you want your home repairs done correctly by a repair technician who takes professionalism seriously and shows up on time, clean, wearing a polo shirt and parking a clearly marked van with all the fenders and bumpers still attached in your driveway then call Mr Handyman, you wont be disappointed.
