Local Handyman Services in Paw Paw, Maryland

I have recently found Mr. Handyman. I needed two projects done and both were completed by Handyman in a timely and efficient manner. I have nothing but praise for both jobs and would highly recommend them for any job without hesitation.

My new composite decking was an inch lower than the deteriorating wood decking it replaced. Mr. handyman put trim molding under the sliding glass door to fill the gap, secured the molding, caulked and painted the molding to match my exterior trim. The trim board used was also composite outdoor paintable trim, which I supplied. I also had left over trim pain that the handyman used. The result looks great. I have used Mr. Handyman several times and all the work has been done very well. The workers are very professional and come well prepared. I just happened to have materials this time for the handyman to use!

Shawn showed up on time and gave me an estimate of how long it would take. It took longer than estimated but largely because of unknow pre-existing conditions that had to be fixed (i.e., the siding was not actually attached to the chimney by anything other than the trim). They work M-F, but he came on a Saturday because he was going to be leaving on vacation and wanted to get everything finished. Fortunately, I could pay with a credit card, and then I didn't have to be there for the days it took–I just gave him a key (no problems there). The first two days it looked like nothing had been done (except the shutters were gone) because he spent the first day taking measurements and then constructed all the elements in PVC in the shop (and painted the shutters there, too). But then everything came together, and it looks great. He really took a lot of care and takes obvious pride in his work. The painting was done by other members of the Mr. Handyman staff (since he had left for vacation). One thing to note is that you should mention if it will take a really tall ladder to reach certain areas (like the top of a chimney for painting) because not all of them have tall enough ladders on their truck–the painting had to be done over two days because of this. I'm very satisfied and want him to come back and do some other trim and elements!

Mr. Handyman impressed me with its commitment to excellence. Each worker was consistently on time, and communication with the company was good. Even though the work took longer to complete than estimated, the agreed upon price remained the same. The final result is excellence. I am most impressed with the way the company stands behind its work. Initially, I was not completely satisfied with some of the drywall finishing, but I paid the bill. I called Victor. Within two hours he was at my house?and he was prepared to work. He spent the afternoon sanding each place I was not satisfied with. He clearly wanted to make me completely satisfied. He even gave me some coupons toward the next job. So, I hired Mr. Handyman to paint two rooms. The price was more than fair. Mike Thompson came to do the painting. He saw places in the drywall that could be better, so he stopped his painting, went to a local store to buy materials, and fixed the drywall to perfection. To make up time, he even took our doors home with him to paint! The final result was excellence: I will call them again for other projects, and I have recommended them to my neighbor. I know I will be pleased with the work from Mr. Handyman!
