Local Carpentry Services in Remington, Virginia

After backing my car into the drywall in my garage, my rear left bumper left a sizable hole in the drywall. I was going to get some estimates from local companies who perform drywall repair when I recieved a coupon in the mail from Mr. Handyman for $50.00 worth of services provided by Mr. Handyman. After checking out the local Mr. Handyman (the closet one was Mr. Handyman of Fredericksburg), on Angie's List, I made my appointment with Kevin, the customer service representative on Thursday, March 24 for Friday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. I soon remembered that I had another appointment on that same day at the same time so I called back to reschedule for a Monday appointment and was able to do so without any problems. Kevin also told me that J.R. would be the technican who would repair the damaged drywall. He also told me to be on the lookout for the white and red van clearly marked "Mr. Handyman" and that J.R. would also present idenficiation verifying his idenity. My new appointment was for Monday, March 28 at 12:00 p.m. On Monday morning, Kevin called to remind me that J.R. would be coming by at 12 p.m. At 11:45 a.m., J.R. arrived promptly, clearly identified himself and got right to work. I explained what I needed done and he told me that it would take him about an hour and an half to complete the repair. He then asked me if I had any coupons and at that time, I presented my $50.00 coupon. I could not use this coupon because the fine print required a minimum of four hours worth of work and I only needed up to two hours. J.R. then said he had a $25.00 coupon that I could use instead and to save the $50.00 coupon for a later time. I did use the $25.00 coupon as suggested by J.R. J.R. did a terrific job repairing the hole and was able to save me some cash as well. I will use Mr. Handyman again.

The repairman arrived on time, assessed the job, and went over the quote that they had given us over the phone. The repairman performed the repair and found more wood rot, which needed more materials. He showed us the problem and discussed how he would repair it. He acquired more wood, repaired the rot and then cleaned up thoroughly.

Very professional. Examined the problem and quickly identified a solution. Then, with the correct materials. started right to work. I was impressed to say the least, but not surprised as I am a "regular" customer over the past 15 years. Recommended.

Very well. I've had them do all the repairs to the fixer-upper foreclosure I bought. When they fixed the leaky pipe under my house and insulated the pipes the hot water somehow stopped working. Essentially, a valve was being forced open by water pressure; when they shut off the water to complete the repair the valve stopped working. I wasn't home for them to test the water that evening so I only realized it the next day -Saturday. I called, the owner returned my call in about 10 minutes, he and the original worker were out there within the hour. They replaced my valve with a new one, didn't charge me for the visit since they said it happened while they were working and may or may not have been them. They are my go-to company for home repair.

They did an excellent job, and I was very pleased. Their prices were pretty reasonable. I would definitely use them again.
