Local Carpentry Services in BWI, Maryland

This is the 2nd time I've used their service and it was a great success. Unlike several other handyman contractors I contacted Mr. Handyman was immediately responsive to my service request and would have responded the same day had my schedule allowed. The handyman who arrived to do the work was knowledgeable, professional and diligent and the care he took with the job was very impressive. The fascia was reattached with numerous screws and will probably last longer than the house will. He encountered some difficulty with the decorative shutters but ended up re-fastening them with metal screws (instead of the plastic ones that come with the shutters). All the work was done in under 1 hour which kept my costs down. I will definitely use them again. I appreciate a company that doesn't complain about short little jobs like mine and is dependable and produces quality work. Well done. <br />

Mr. Handyman exceeded all of my expectations. The technician was professional and thorough. One of the jobs required additional parts. The technician went out of his way to acquire the extra parts and install them. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman and will use them again. <br />

The actual service required two hours as part of a four-hour block of time I purchased at a discount. Gary showed up on time and preformed the requested service. Not too complicated. <br /> <br /> The real challenge had been getting my other two hours. The first issue was identifying additional work. I wanted a pre-hung entry-way closet door installed to replace the cheap folding door that was originally installed. I also asked for a quote to repair a shed roof that was damaged by large tree limbs knocked down by the June 29, 2012 derecho that blew through. Initially, I never received a quote back for the door installation, and the quote to repair the roof of the shed far exceeded the replacement cost. <br /> <br /> However, the president of the local Mr. Handyman, Kevin, stepped in to correct the situation. Over a series of emails we were able to work out what work needed to be done, a quote provided, and an agreement on my part for the service. It took a couple weeks because the door needed had to be special ordered. <br /> <br /> On March 15, Ken showed up and did a very professional job. He fit the pre-hung door, matched the casing to that around the front door, and did a very clean job of caulking. I was very pleased with the overall work. <br /> <br /> Kevin more than made up for the earlier confusion and earned an A for follow up customer service. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
