Everything went wonderfully. 100% honesty here. I was a little frustrated in the beginning because it felt like jumping thru hoops just to get someone to come out and provide an estimate. However, with that said, I'm very glad we stuck with this company. The owner himself is the one that comes out and does the estimate. I'm not new to the construction industry, so I knew what needed to be done (being pregnant I didn't want to do it myself). The owner was extremely knowledgable and professional. We had, had two other companies come out to look at the same project and Mr. Handyman was by far the most qualified. He knew exactly what he was talking about, which was refreshing to hear. He was honest about the process and cost, he didn't seem to want to take us for all of our money, but wanted to do a quality job. The job took two days. The gentleman that came out was very professional and patient with my annoying barking dogs (thank you. I know they were annoying!) The storm door project was completed same day, and the French doors took a day and a half, but it all looks amazing. A very professional and competent company. They have reasonable prices. I would and will be hiring them again for other projects along with recommending them to anyone and everyone that needs a handyman. Pictures are attached. The only thing left to do is paint the French doors and the walls where the spackle is… Honestly, I'll probably hire them again to do that too!

Called in the morning and spoke to the owner Al who answered the phone. I explained what I needed and at first he thought I may need two guys and a 40' ladder as the portion of siding that came loose is on the second level by the attic vent. He asked I send him photos via text which I did and he checked with one of his guys and I ended up only needing a 21' ladder and one guy so less cost out of my pocket! Al said it would probably be in the afternoon and he would call when they were on their way and I told him that was fine as I would be home all day doing yard work. Well I missed his call as I was outside and didn't hear the phone but his guy Mike L showed up anyways which was also great for me! I heard him at the front and he got right to work. Very personable and friendly. I asked him if he'd mind cleaning out the gutters since he was up there and the siding was only a 5 min job so may as well utilize my hour of pay and they didn't mind at all. Al also came by to check on his guy and was very friendly as well just as he as on the phone. Very happy to have found a handyman company who I feel comfortable with and that would do a good job. Thanks to Al and Mike L it can now rain and I wont worry about my siding just flopping around. I will definitely use you all in future for any other needs.

I had called Al Starck of Mr. Handyman for an estimate on the repair of my raised deck. He came out to inspect the job and gave me a detailed estimate in writing. He was extremely helpful and suggested several alternatives and fixes. His communication is outstanding – always responded to my questions via e-mail or phone in a very timely manner. As agreed, his team showed up exactly on time (to the minute!) – neat, professional, and prepared to get to work. His employees were extremely courteous and helpful. The evening before they were to begin the deck work, my water heater sprung a leak! Not knowing who to turn to, I reached out to Mr. Starck via e-mail that morning. He personally met me at the hardware store to pick out a new unit and one of his crew was an expert at replacing the water heater. It was certainly an unplanned and unexpected turn for this work day, but his crew were incredibly good about it – working together to get everything done in one visit. I do not hesitate in fully recommending Al Starck and Mr. Handyman of Fredericksburg for any household repair. I plan to keep their number "handy" for anything I need in the future!
