Mr. Handyman of the Wichita Metro Area is owned and operated by Bob Skidmore who is a 34 year resident of the Wichita Area. After 31 years in the aircraft industry, Bob opened a business of his own that would serve the community by providing a much needed service to the community. He realized that people in the Wichita area focused on their jobs and their families and they frequently do not have the time, the tools or the skills to complete simple to complicated work tasks around the home. They want to, but they just cannot get to it all. He also realized that the people in the area are smart. They know that their home is their biggest investment and that it is critical to maintain the value of this investment with timely maintenance and improvement activities. Guaranteed work done right and on time.

Tarena is a graduate of Derby High School and after High School she attended Cowley County Community College. One of her first jobs was at Spears restaurant where she started as a waitress and soon rose the rank of manager and this was followed by more restaurant management work at Victory Sports Grille and Courtside Café’. After a couple of years working as a real estate office manager, she returned to the food service industry as the Main Cook at one of the Goddard Schools. All this work has proven to be excellent preparation for her work as a Customer Service Representative for Mr. Handyman as she does a great job of being the first point of contact for our customers, introducing our company, scheduling customers and so many more tasks. Tarena is married and has three sons and one daughter. The oldest son is a graduate of McPherson College, her daughter recently completed her US Army technical training and the two youngest sons are attending Goddard High School. Tarena is an active member of TAAG Church and her passion is caring for her family which includes the “normal” tasks along with attending numerous band and baseball practices, games and events.

Kati has lived in Kansas for over 20+ years, she has over 10 years’ experience in various areas of Business Management and Sales. Kati’s background in sales and management is a great fit in our Marketing Department. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 boys, selling Real Estate which she has done since 2005, gardening, listening to live music and traveling.
