Local Door Repair and Installation Services in Hamel, Illinois

Justin came to install our new glass/screen door and did a fabulous job as always. So so happy to have Justin install it. That's why we trust and ask Mr. Handyman to do these things for us cause they have the most awesome workers like Justin.

Matt came and assessed the situation. Figured out the issue and remediation took place. Matt also replaced a GFI that was no longer functioning. I already have another job for them!

Outstanding service. On time, professional, friendly, and efficient. The work was excellent with attention to detail to keep my home protected and clean. Very impressed!!! Would hire again!!!

Initially I wasn't sure all that the project would entail. I had a leaky spigot that i wasn't able to use because when i turned it on the water would gush out of the top. When the technician arrived, he immediately knew the spigot would need to be replaced and he asked where the access point was from inside the house. I have a small crawl space that was created when the house was built onto and the spigot had been installed before they finished the basement. After looking at the situation, the technician told me that when he removed the spigot if it broke the solder, that he would potentially need to tear out some of the drywall in order to complete the job. I was reluctant to have him even start because it sounded like it could end up costing me more than i was wanting to put into the job. He then stated that if he brought another technician out, one of them could stay on the inside of the crawl space and the other could work from the outside and avoid breaking the solder. He quoted me a price of $200. I agreed and we scheduled another time for the team to return. They were able to replace the spigot without incident, however when he gave me the bill, it was $271 instead of the $200 he had mentioned previously. The bill included two technicans for an hour each, as well as the price of the spigot and the $50 service fee. The project only took about 30 minutes to complete. I was a little disappointed with the cost but the professionalism and courtesy of the technicians was great. What i would do differently next time, is ask them to work on another project for the remaining time so i felt like i was getting the full value of what i was paying for. After completing the job, the technicians showed me what had caused the initial issue and advised me on how i can keep it from happening again. I appreciated that very much. I have spoken with Michelle, in their office, on several occasions and she is always very knowledgable and quick to assist however she can. After the service, both she and the owner followed up to ensure I was satisfied. I will definately use this service again.
