Overall, they did a good job. Mr Handman was actually recommended to me but I read some of their reviews and I even spoke with the owner, so I had a good feeling about the company. As with any contractor, I tried to do my homework on them and I wasn't disappointed.

This was my second time using this company because I was pleased before. The first time I called, the owner of Mr Handyman answered the phone and he took the time to describe exactly which supplies I needed and what to ask for when I went to Lowes. He encouraged me to call back if I ran into trouble. <br /> <br /> The service tech was punctual, friendly, and professional. He arrived on time, I gave him my list and he immediately began working. I had purchased the supplies in advance, as they asked so things flowed smoothly. He also was good about cleaning up behind himself and protecting my floor from paint and dust. Before he left, he put things back in their proper place and made sure there was no trace of debris, nails, etc. <br /> <br /> Their labor prices are reasonable. The only minor complaint I have is that they mark up the price (for supplies) if they have to purchase the supplies for you. For example, a pack of insulation and the wood for the kickboard cost me $51. This is only an issue if you don't know what you need or know how to measure for it. I had this issue when I needed a part for my cabinet. I couldn't properly describe the problem and really wasn't sure what was needed. I needed the tech there to assess it. This issue can mostly be avoided because you can call Mr Handyman and the tech will do their best to explain what to get. As I said, this is a minor complaint because they do their best to describe what you need before they come out. Also, they encourage you to get the supplies yourself and tell you upfront that they will mark up the price if they have to purchase it. They are very clear about their prices, so there hasn't been any dispute or misunderstanding with them when I get my bill, which is another quality I appreciate. <br /> <br /> I was very pleased with the great customer service that I received when I called in to set up appointments and to inquire about the supplies needed. When you call in the office manager is responsive and helpful and will try to involve the tech if she's unable to answer your questions. <br /> <br /> Overall I am quite pleased with Mr. Handyman and will continue to use them. It's very difficult to find a good handyman service, I've had a few bad experiences. But I've added Mr Handyman to my speed dial and highly recommend them.

The worker was courteous, punctual, thorough in the performance of his work and even cleaned up his work area before he left. I will definitely consider them for future work.
