Local Door Repair and Installation Services in Washington, Connecticut

When I called the owner, he said he was going to send his best man and his best man did things that I wanted done which I couldn't do. His labor even though he said it was a sale was $320 for four hours. I didn't compare the price with anybody else. The worker that he sent was good in everything because I had to do a little bit of everything in those four hours. For instance, like a lock on my old closet door. All the people didn’t know what to do and they thought I had to have a new door. He said he knew what was needed. While he was doing the other work, my daughter ran down to a store and got the lock that he said was needed. Nothing has gone wrong with the work that he did do and I was very satisfied with the work. Most people charge just for coming out to give us an estimate and things like that but he didn’t do that. He told me the next time I called him his labor price would be less. He said what he told me was the sale price and he also told me what his regular price was for four hours. His regular price was $160 for the first hour and after that he said he charged by the half hour and I think he said it was $50. To me that was kind of high. The quality of his work has been good so far. Nothing has gone wrong. I would grade the particular guy who came out an ‘A’ because he did more than one work and he told me he was sending me his best worker. He was on time. He said he would be here at 9:30 and he was here exactly at 9:30. Another thing that I liked about the guy that did the work was that he worked fast, did a neat job and cleaned behind himself. Some people work fast and sloppy but he was not. He was professional and was like Jack of all trades. I plan to use them again because there are some more things that need to be done.

My only suggestion not compliant is that you only have one master electrician on call (he is awesome…but two electricians on call would probably be better for time management of electrical appointments.} I will be scheduling another appointment with the electrician later this month. My last few appointments have been of the electrical nature but I have used them for other jobs and am considering the home improvement team for our small home gym.You guys rock! Other's should take note on how to treat customers. Updated Review 10/1619 I cannot say I would use Mr Handyman again for a few reasons. I initially felt they did an exceptional job but after the last few visits I do not feel the same. The work was average at best aside for the stellar Electrical work done late 2016 and early 2017. I did like the work done in my master bath but two months later the grout is starting the peel. In conclusion, Mr. Handyman is ok for some jobs but not for all you will have to explore for yourself. Yes I might recommend to a friend with a warning.

Another job done by Shawn. He is more than just a handyman. He is a problem solver. So appreciated. Thank you again Larry for hiring the best contractors.

Very happy using with Mr. Handman services. The scheduling process was easy. The workmanship was professional. Scott is courteous and helpful.

The north side of our deck was slowly sinking into the ground. I feel that the technician did a thorough job of repairing the deck in a way that should make the problem unlikely to recur. The cost came in a little under the estimate. The technician was friendly and happy to answer questions.
