Louis was my handyman from the start. He came out and did the initial site inspection and he did the work as well ( weather sealing a fence). He did a thorough and excellent job. I will use Handyman again when the need arises.

It all started when we learned that we had bees living in our basement wall. Because they are pollinators, you can't kill them so I needed a bee expert to extract the 40,000 bees (not a typo!) from my basement. There were no clues that we were harboring enough bees to produce 30 lbs of honey a year, or enough bees to field a terrifying bee army to attack our adversaries. Enter Mr. Handyman. The owner, Jo, and Chris came out and we fell in love with them. Super solid people. They gave a quote and I think the job was way bigger than they thought. Twice I offered to pay more and they refused (since the job is behind a wall and pulling down the wall unleashes and a apocalyptic swarm of bees, it's hard to quote these kind of things). We did give a good tip as Chris got stung a few times. While they were here, they also fixed a caulking issue in our bathroom and did an excellent job. They clearly like people and love their job. And they do excellent work. You can't even see where they pulled down the drywall to extract the 40,000 bees (still not a typo). Jo is a former Navy aircraft maintenance officer who started the Mr. Handyman business when she retired. Her employees are actual employees (and not 1099 contractors) which is a lot more expensive for her because she pays benefits – but I like that she takes care of her team. I'm so excited to have a new go-to handyman service that can do electrical, plumbing, drywall, construction, and bee extraction.

The technicians were very knowledgable, courteous, and professional. They arrived on time and completed the job quickly. Finally, they treated my home as they would have treated their own. Options were clearly identified with recommendations on what NEEDED to be done, what work SHOULD be done, and what work COULD be done. I look forward to working with them again soon on other projects.

Mr Handyman is very handy! I was very happy with their service and they do very good work. I would give an A+ in quality, responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism if I could. The workers are always there early so I know I don't have to wait around for them. There may be less expensive places, but they cover a variety of services and when you look at the total package, it pays off to pay a little bit more to know you will have someone who is professional and who will stand by their work. In fact, not only are they professional, but they've very courteous and explain the work they are doing.
