Michael arrived on time, spent a few minutes surveying the situation, then set to work. He got door #1 open fairly quickly. Door #2 was a bit more recalcitrant, but yielded eventually. I was impressed by a couple of things. First: Michael knew what to do. He said he has been repairing sliding doors for years, and was confident he could get mine working again. Second: While Michael was worried that he might have to remove the doors and the surrounding molding, he tried the simple approach first — and it worked. So no invasive surgery was needed. Third: Michael did the complete job. Once the doors were open, he carefully adjusted them to slide easily and seat firmly. All of which took one hour and cost me $158. Michael, thank you very much!

Dave arrived on time at 7:00 AM and was done by noon. He addressed the situation as if it were his own home. He did no more or less than was needed. We originally thought it was going to be a larger job involving replacement of the entire ceiling and possibly insulation, but Dave found that was not necessary, thus making the job quicker and less expensive.
